Cesar Ancelle Hansen
Digigraphie photographic print, 15.75 x 23.75 inches
Framed in white washed maple.
César Ancelle-Hansen is a French photographer whose body of work focuses on international surf culture and a connection with the ocean as a way of life. Based in Biarritz, the surfing capital of France, Ancelle-Hansen took up photography at an early age. His interest in the sea grew organically, informed by his work as an emergency room physician.
This work, from the artist's Burning Man portfolio, steps away from his traditional subject matter to explore the crucible of culture and creativity that converges on the deserts of Nevada. Ancelle-Hansen's images from the annual festival carry an other-worldly clarity, with a focus on the sublime objects that appear like mirages in the sand.
Each photograph is a limited edition accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
